Country House
Completed in 1992
Blooming Grove, NY

Commissioned in 1994 to design a country house in a vernacular shingle style, typical of farmhouses throughout the northeast & midwest.

The property is a 6.5 acre parcel loaded with large mature deciduous trees and is laden with some large sedimentary rock outcroppings. The house was sited/placed adjacent to one of the outcroppings, in a natural clearing. Defined, finely manicured lawns were designed to contrast with the wild untouched landscape of this very rugged mature forest site.

The house was never built.
